This event is sponsored by the Squirrel Hill Merchants' Association. Email info@shuc.org for more information or visit the Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition website.  We'll have some special offerings in summer clothes, t-shirts, futbol jerseys, porcupines and miniature pictures, to name just a few things.

¡Porcupines!

Speaking of neighbors in Squirrel Hill, we are very excited to have the Latino Family Support Center as one of ours!  Read about their successful grand opening and their mission in this Pittsburgh Post Gazette article.

The journalism department at Penn State University took 17 of its best print and broadcast students — all juniors and seniors — to Mexico City for a nine-day reporting trip. The university chose Mexico City because it is relatively close and fairly familiar to most Americans, yet distinctly foreign in language and culture. The result is a beautiful and diverse series of articles and videos that you won't want to miss, and you can access them here.

We have a wonderful new host for the website and we highly recommend them...please visit Photon.net and see for yourself how very special they are. Because of the great savings they have passed along to us you will soon see some site improvements as Lisa works with them to learn some new coding tricks!
